How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Imagen
Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

My Sleek Palettes

I've been wanting to swatch my 3 Sleek palettes for so long so here they are! They are all swatched on top of L'oreal decrease primer- only because I've had it for ages and want to get rid of it haha

Sleek Storm

As you can probably tell I've had this palette for the longest. It's got a lovely range of neutrals but can be hard to show up sometimes. I use the darkest brown for my eyebrows. Apparently the first gold is a dupe for MAC's Woodwinked (I don't have it so I wouldn't know, if anyone has both please LMK! I was going to buy WW but I didn't because of this reason lol). One of my fave's is the highlighting colour, it is so beautiful. The black is the only gripe I have in this palette, barely any pigmentation there!
Top: Natural light, bottom: Flash. I had to swipe the black the most to get some decency. I'm sure this palette dupes a few colours!

Sleek Badgirl
This is the most perfect palette for smokey eyes EVER. Everything is so pigmented, especially the black which is why I use it so often! This is the only Sleek palette I have that has names for the shadows.
Top Row: Innocence, Gullible, Blade, Gun Metal, Underground, Noir
Bottom: Intoxicated, Envy, Obnoxious, Abyss, Twilight, Rebel.
However a sad few weeks ago I dropped this onto the cold, hard tiles.
*cries* It's a lot worse than it looks lol. Onto the swatches
The 2nd colour was hard to swatch as I think there's some of the silver in it :( but you can see the gist of the colour. There's a mixture of mattes & shimmers in this palette, as you can hopefully see, but there's more shimmer. The only difference for the 2 blacks on the 1st row is that the 2nd black from the right is shimmery and the other (my fave Noir) is matte.

Sleek Acid
My newest palette, I wasn't going to get it until I saw some beautiful looks, but I haven't managed anything spectacular yet. It consists of mostly matte shades apart from the 4 on the right on both rows. You definitely need a white base with these for the best pigmentation.
The white is definitely the most disappointing, probably 'coz it's matte lol, I couldn't even cover the primer! Trust me these swatches don't do it justice. The shimmerys look divine though.

So that's it! I really like my Sleek palettes and can definitely recommend the ones I have. The other one I really want is the Sunset palette but that will have to wait a while lol. I think I've bought most of these from vanitypalace on ebay for I think $10? And shipping is reasonable so I'd recommend them.
Thanks for looking I hope this is helpful!

*Disclaimer: All palettes were bought with my own money and my thoughts & opinions are 100% my own. Photos haven't been enhanced*
