How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Imagen
Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic...

La Splash Glitters // Review, Swatches & Comparison

Imagen
Recently-ish I I received my La Splash Glitter Splash that I purchased from Cherry Culture as I had shown here . I've only really tried NYX's loose glitters before so I will be doing a little bit of a comparison between these 2 brands and a small review & swatches. Oh, I plan to (and have already ordered some more ;) ) buy more in the near future so I will keep updating the swatches. Swatches Lava Dust is a beautiful orange glitter with a tiny amount of red specks. You can see it in a makeup look here.   Starlight Red is a stunning bright red, that's all I can really say about it haha. It was used in my Aussie makeup here . Tropical Lime doesn't exactly live up to it's name as I would call it more turquoise then anything (which I knew it would be when I ordered it) so as long as you know it is not actually lime when you purchase it will be alright. It is so gorgeous, though! Deep Blue Sea is a dark blue colour also used in this makeup that is mainly a royal...

My actual V-day Makeup //Day To Night

I know it's almost been 2 weeks but as long as it's still February, right? (I always seem to be late, lol!) But I still wanted to share my day-to-night makeup that I wore on Valentines day/ night.... because I can! Not that I need one day out of the whole year as an excuse to wear pink ;) ~Day As you can see I kept everything in the colour family, starting with my eyes using mainly Inglot, my cheeks & my lips, but I didn't want an actual pink lipstick, this is more on the purple side which matches half of my eyelid! I've been waiting a while to receive all my packages that I ordered around the same time so I could put them into a collective haul-style post this time. I've been using some of the products in my FOTD's so I'm happy I can finally show you properly, now! Cherry Culture Nyx Eye Shadow Base in White, Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp Nyx Black Label Lipstick in Nude La Splash Glitter Splash (names below) Cherryculture.com has regular specials & I'm pretty sure I got these Nyx products between 15-25% off when they are a good price anyway. The glitters were $5.99 each, and they have the biggest range! I can definitely recommend these glitters, and I've used them in a couple of looks and you can see how glitter can also be wearable but then also dramatic (obviously!! It's all up to you how it turns out ;)). I found this website has extremely quick shipping as I ordered these not long before beauty joint but I got them 2 weeks before!  Giveaway Prize  Techn...

Pink Flamingo Makeup Look or Valentines if you wish ;)

Hi lovers! Y'all know what today is, the (dreaded to some) Valentines day!! (at least it is where I am ;)) In case you haven't noticed I've been trying to name my more "exciting" makeup looks.... even if they do come out tacky-sounding! When I did this last week it wasn't meant to be for anything special but as I was writing this post I thought.... well what better time to post it! I was planning to do a verrry similar look for v-day anyway (I have a day and night version planned :P) This was playing around with my La Splash Glitter (Haul post coming up, hopefully when I receive my next beauty order! Hurry up yo!!) & my Inglot eyeshadows again, finding out that I can make pretty combos using a brighter lid colour & browns throughout the crease. These glitters can be used sort of in daytime looks, depending on what you call daytime (can be a bit more dramatic for me :P) and adding just a touch makes for a pretty sparkly look :D  ~Products~ Face: The usu...

I've been trying to use my Inglot eyeshadows a bit more lately and wanted to do something sunrise-ish and then I remembered I had a glitter that would go perfectly with this look! As you can see with my eyes open it's not very noticeable and then bam! Aussie Aussie Aussie! FOTD

Imagen
Oi Oi Oi! On Saturday was Australia Day, better known as "Straya Day" to some (in case you didn't know, we love our slang!) It is that awesome day where you beach it, bbq & drink and have fun with friends & family. This year my brother, his gf & our mate came down to celebrate with us on the long weekend.  So of course I had to make my makeup Aus day themed, although it looks more American & French than aussie because the colours are the same but it was too much effort to draw the union jack onto my eyes :P But I loved it none the less, and I just received these glitters 2 days before! I made sure to blend the colours well, until I added the glitter & couldn't blend them!  Silly me wearing glitter to the beach, as I was in the water and got splashed I got glitter in my eyes (I don't normally wear eye makeup when I go, btw!) but that doesn't matter :) ~Products~ Face: I only wore a light cover of Rimmel Wake Me Up Fdtn & Garnier BB Crea...
