How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

Pink Flamingo Makeup Look or Valentines if you wish ;)

Hi lovers!
Y'all know what today is, the (dreaded to some) Valentines day!! (at least it is where I am ;))

In case you haven't noticed I've been trying to name my more "exciting" makeup looks.... even if they do come out tacky-sounding! When I did this last week it wasn't meant to be for anything special but as I was writing this post I thought.... well what better time to post it! I was planning to do a verrry similar look for v-day anyway (I have a day and night version planned :P)

This was playing around with my La Splash Glitter (Haul post coming up, hopefully when I receive my next beauty order! Hurry up yo!!) & my Inglot eyeshadows again, finding out that I can make pretty combos using a brighter lid colour & browns throughout the crease. These glitters can be used sort of in daytime looks, depending on what you call daytime (can be a bit more dramatic for me :P) and adding just a touch makes for a pretty sparkly look :D

 ~Products~
Face: The usual foundation combo , Nars Laguna Bronzer, MAC Lightscapade
Nyx Cream Blush in Natural, Jordana 'A Touch Of Pink'
Eyes: MAC 'Painterly' Paintpot, Nyx Base 'White', Inglot 'AMC Shine 39', 'DS 460', 'p 420', 'P 393', 'DS 495'. Fyrinnae 'Pixie Epoxy', La Splash glitter in Miami Beach. Bourjois Clubbing eyeliner, Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner, NP Set liquid liner. Essence I <3 Extreme volume mascara, Max Factor False Lash Effect.
Lips: Nyx Black Label Lipstick 'Nude' + Nyx lipgloss 'Smokey Look'.
I started with my primer & a white sticky base & applied the glittery purple-pink to my lid & outer lower lashline. Then with a crease brush I applied a mid toned glittery brown (the glitter only shows up if I pack it right on) right into the crease & blended with a fluffy crease brush out with a taupe-grey colour. I applied a touch of a darker glittery brown into the outer v for more definition. Take your sticky base & pat it into the middle of the eyelid & add a hot pink glitter. Highlight in the inner corners & brow bone if you wish with a pencil brush & a shimmery light peachy colour, finish with eyeliner & a black pencil liner on the waterline blended into the pink on the lower lashline or apply a nude or white pencil, add mascara and you're good!

Thanks so much of looking, I hope you all have a good valentines day whether you're spending it with your other half or having a night out with the girls! Personally I don't make a big fuss out of this day I just like to go out to dinner with my man :)

Take care xxx mwa

P.S
Mascara update
I opened One by One as everyone knows the falsies is good but not much about this..... plus I have enough voluminous ones open atm :D I have only used it once so far and it seems to be ok but I'm sure it will grow on me, I will let you all know how I really feel once I've used it a bit more.
