Is it fair to say I was "inspired" by Misschievious on Youtube when I pretty much copied her drugstore makeup tutorial ? And although I was drooling over the Sleek Lagoon palette she used, I knew I would have plenty of similar colours I could substitute them for. I love using a darker base underneath bright colours for a bright but smoky look, as done in my Jewel Smoky Eye Makeup , as it brings them out differently compared to a lighter base. And although this was a bored-on-a-saturday-night-playing-with-makeup-look it wasn't a waste of makeup as we ended up going out in the end. Nothing worse when you do your makeup perfectly and then nothing happens! I know it's almost been 2 weeks but as long as it's still February, right? (I always seem to be late, lol!) But I still wanted to share my day-to-night makeup that I wore on Valentines day/ night.... because I can! Hey guys, once again sorry for another late post with my New Years Eve makeup! I've been so busy this week to be able to get around to posting it. So I hope everyone had a great night partying, or whatever you did :) We had the hottest day on new years day that we've had in a long time.... 46.C or 115 F.! Which kinda sucked because it was way too hot for the beach :( Anyway, it was humid on NYE especially when I was getting ready, so ignore the creasing!   So of course being NYE I had to add glitter to the look. Sorry this is a bit late, as everyone is already out of the Christmas mode as it comes to NYE! I didn't want to leave it any later, so this will be my last post for 2012. Can't believe the year is coming to an end, it went by so quickly, feels like just yesterday I was getting ready for last NYE. So yeah, here is my Christmas Eve & Day Makeup. I wore this out to my partners work Christmas dinner, & wanted something a bit festive but not using the typical Christmas-y colours. I also knew I didn't want to wear red lips because I wore them out to dinner a few nights before & it faded & just looked awful, and I'd rather not worry about it! My skin looks photoshopped, but please believe me that it's not! Yes that is a feather extension poking out, I actually have 5 in my hair but because it's so thick they are always hiding. I started out with this makeup during the day.... it isn't essentially a day time look but it was day enough for me :P We were in the city for Stereosonic (best day!!) but this was the day before were we got to go out to lunch & shopping with friends and we got to see our niece for the first time in ages! Day Makeup I did my eyes at home but finished with my foundation in the car, I was trying out a sample of the Garnier BB Cream, but as I put it on I realized it was a medium colour & a bit too dark & orange looking for me, but I blended & blended & added everything else and the colour didn't turn out too bad in the end.
