How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Imagen
Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic...

Recent Nail Designs, obsessed with gradients!

I haven't properly posted my NOTW for a while so I've put together quite a few that I have done recently! We have had gel at my work for a little while so I was playing around with it a bit there but the truth was I missed playing with my colours which I did not want to neglect! Ever since I used the cling-wrap method here I've wanted to do it again . Sadly I have to have my nails short for work- I've always had long nails so it sucks for me. =/  Chi-Chi Salon Formula in Material Girl, Sportsgirl Nail It! in Bionic. I hadn't used a shatter polish for a while so I used my Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat polish in 06 Antiqued Gold over the top of Chi-Chi Salon Formula in Hissy Fit. China Glaze Sweet Hook, Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber One less Lonely Girl. My *first* go at gradient nails so it is a mess but I liked the colours together. You can still see my white base & there are gouges out of them and I had sponge sticking to my nails because I stupidly did not wet...

Deep Sea Mermaid

Hey guys! This is just a look from last week where I used darker blues & greens. I have wanted to do this combo for a little while with my makeup geek eye shadows and it came out a little "deep sea mermaid"-y to me, haha. And it's nice & smoky for those rainy days. ~Products~ Face: I am still using up older face products! This while take me a while but I'm not going to buy any more foundation until its gone (unless I find something cheap then I will buy it but not open it lol) Eyes: Makeup Geek E/S: Sea mist (Middle of lid) Envy: Inner & outer eyelid Corrupt: Crease Shimma Shimma : Highlight Smashbox duo cream eyeliner Lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle. & how I had my nails last week. I basically copied this colour combo from someones look on beautylish because I have wanted to use this blue on my fingernails for a while. All it involves is painting your base colour, and then dabbing a scrunched up piece of clingwrap that has another colour on (...

China Glaze Magnetix + A couple more NOTW

Imagen
Hey everyone sorry for the lack of posting once again. Here is just some recent nails from the past few weeks I though I've done more than this but maybe I haven't taken pics lol. I used China Glaze Magnetix in Instant Chemistry. We are still playing around with these so the magnetic effect isn't as cool as the pictures in google lol but it takes getting used to. You buy the magnet separately which has 3 different patterns to choose from that you have to hold as close to the nail without touching it. But the overall effect is so cool! Sorry for the messy cuticle edges & the splodge of gold on one! argh haha. . This is the magnet & the patterns to choose from, taken from google. There are also quite a few different colours in this collection.  I loove the way this green turned out! Its just from the chainstore sportsgirl & I added a blue glitter from BYS over the top. When I took this off I got it all over my fingers! haha  This is just the same colourful nails ...
