How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Imagen
Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic...

Make Me Blush | Collection Part 2: High End

Imagen
So I've already done the first part to my blush collection over here but here is my current High End blush collection, although I will be updating soon to accommodate the new ones I have recently purchased. I am super happy with my blush collection now although you can never have too many blushes! MAC Sometimes the quality is really noticeable with higher end brands, as I've found with MAC their blushes have great pigmentation & amazing lasting power. I'm hoping to expand with a couple more of their mineralize skin finishes. I also have a couple of Cream Colour Bases but I consider them to be highlighters although can be a base for blush. Out of the powder blushes I prefer the normal formulation as the sheertones obviously don't turn out as pigmented as they look in the pan & in a finger swatch. L-R: MAC Mineralize blush Warm Soul {Satin w/ hint of shimmer}, Pink Swoon {Sheertone matte}, Peachykeen {Sheertone Shimmer} Dollymix {Sheertone shimmer, Her Blooming...

MAC Cream Colour Base & Blush // Mini Haul & Review, Swatches

Imagen
I was lucky I found this sale on ozsale.com.au when I did as it was on it's last day just over a month back. This MAC sale was only including face & cheek products, and always they didn't have the biggest range to choose from. I was still happy to pick up one blush & 2 Cream Colour Base's. (CCB) As far as I know MAC goes on sale from ozsale around every 6 months, but I am not too sure about it. Any aussies should sign up to get emails so they don't miss out! Ah my shadows! Found it very hard to have them not show up.   Powder blush in Her Blooming Cheek  This is my first blush from MAC that is not a Sheertone or Mineralize Skin Finish so I was surprised at how pigmented it was with my first swatch. It is a bright fuchsia pink with a satin finish that can look quite daunting in the pan but if you use a light hand with the right kind of brush & tap off the excess you should have no problem to avoid looking like a clown. I think this would be a gorgeous winter...

Cherry Culture, Sleek & i Kate House // Hauls & Swatches // Milani, La Splash, E.L.F & More

Imagen
In a way you could kind of say these were my hauls for the month of March, although some were ordered in Feb & I am waiting on a couple more. As you may remember I have ordered from Cherry Culture a couple of times before but this was the first for ordering through the actual Sleek website and also from iKatehouse.com which is a recently discovered website.   Cherry Culture So from the lovely CC.... although I have ordered from them fairly recently, there were a few more items I wanted to try out, and a few more colours I wanted to get of products I already owned. Milani Baked Blushes Milani Baked Blushes in Coralina & Dolce Pink  I already have a couple of these in Fantasico Mauve & Luminoso  & love them so I thought that I may as well buy two more, as they were going for $6.99.... (original price $7.99, only saving a dollar lol) I knew I wanted Dolce Pink because of Coco 's swatch & I have heard Coralina was nice, and although the "swatch" of it ...

Bourjois Products // Swatches // Bronzer, Blush, Healthy Mix & More

Imagen
These are just some swatches, comparisons & opinions on the Bourjois products I hauled recently, shown here . I didn't include the mascara in this post as I haven't opened it yet. Bourjois Blusher #54 Rose Frisson If you have tried any of the Bourjois blushers you will notice a beautiful rose scent when you open it. Out of the 3 Bourjois blushers I own, this one has the strongest smell but it doesn't bother me. This blush is highly pigmented (shown below, swatched directly from the pot) & I would describe it as a satin finish, as there is no obvious shimmer but it is not matte.  Delice de Soleil bronzing powder The Delice de Soleil bronzing powder is meant to give a 'delicious natural & radiant tan'. I find the pigmentation is not the best, it took a few swipes for it to show up on my bare arm. It is mainly matte but it does have a few shimmer particles. Originally I wanted the chocolate bronzer but I have not been able to find it online! So I settled fo...
