How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic...

How to: Effortless Glowy Skin

Imagen
If you've been following me for a while, you probably know that I absolutely love a glowy/ dewy foundation finish. As my skin is dry/ dehydrated I love looking like I have a healthy glow and here's how I achieve it!  Firstly you will want to start with your primer to ensure your makeup lasts all day. Lately I have been using Arbonne's Virtual Illusion makeup primer mixed with Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Porecover, although pores are not my main skin concern & this is meant to be for oily skin. If you have oily skin I'd recommend a primer to control that, but if you have dry skin there are many types of primers that help add an extra glow such as Face of Australia's Face Base with Vitamin E & Chamomile, Essence's My Base Illuminating Makeup Base or alternatively you can mix something like Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector or MAC Strobe cream in with a primer. Primer only, and bad lighting/ angle but bare skin. Yuck haha  Now you can apply you...

When I post my FOTD's I don't usually go into depth about how many & what products I use on my face so I wanted to make one that you can refer to if you wish. These products are a mixture of my HG's, products I'm trying to use up & new products that I have started to wear daily. Click here to view my current foundation routine. It looks like a lot more than what it is, really lol. Daily Makeup   Primer- I have been using the Face of Australia Face Base Primer for a while now & I've gone through probably about 3 bottles & I will continue to use it, as it is my HG primer. I love the way it makes my dry/dehydrated skin feel & helps my makeup to glide on smoothly. Sometimes I mix it with this Skin Lingerie Pore Cover (even though I don't really have apparent pores) however I don't know how much more longevity they give to my base because I don't want to go without it ;) FoA Face Base is clear while the Pore Cover has  a slight pearly ...

My Updated Foundation Routine. Pic Heavy Step by Step

Imagen
This is something which I think I will keep changing as I try new products & brushes but it's always nice to have an established base routine. Last year I posted this and while most of the products & techniques are the same but I like the results better.(wow I didn't realize how many things are *actually* the same! Most of the things used today are from my Project Empty.) Please note: I had my eyebrows tinted the day before although one of them looks filled in :S I also pretty much always do my eye makeup first but because I was doing a neutral eye today I decided to do foundation first so you can see the effect properly.   (not my pic.. forgot to take my own.) 1. Start with your primer. I use Face of Australia Face Base. It makes everything go on so smoothly! Eek naked! Yuck! So much more redness than usual. 2.As I have pigmentation rather than dark circles under my eyes, I use mainly a lilac concealer with a touch of yellow mixed in. I apply & blend with my ring...
