How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

More Christmas... Makeup & Nails

Sorry this is a bit late, as everyone is already out of the Christmas mode as it comes to NYE! I didn't want to leave it any later, so this will be my last post for 2012. Can't believe the year is coming to an end, it went by so quickly, feels like just yesterday I was getting ready for last NYE. So yeah, here is my Christmas Eve & Day Makeup.

Christmas Eve
I had been wearing very similar makeup all day for work, so I just touched up my foundation with a bit of Garnier BB Cream, added more blush & fixed the eyes.

I like how warm toned this picture turned out.

 Quick Product Breakdown~
Cheeks: MAC Pink Swoon
Eyes: BH Cosmetics Day & Night: Gold [inner lid], bronze [lid], shimmery taupe [crease]
Lips: MAC Myth with a coral ligloss over the top [hadn't re-touched it for a few hours so it's worn off a fair bit]
My OOTN, this sequined top is by Ally fashion & is actually sheer so I wore a bandeau bra underneath. I felt it was nice & Christmassy :) I wore crochet shorts also from Ally. But I had to change later as it got a bit cold so I wore pleather leggings which I think looked cute with the top.

Christmas Day
You may have seen it briefly in my previous post but I like how my makeup turned out on xmas day so here it is! I used all the festive colours & thought it would be too much but it worked out well, although when I was doing it I just went for it without knowing exactly what I was doing.

 Product Breakdown
Cheeks: I can't actually remember fully but I think it was Top Shop cream blush in Head over heels with Jordana Coral Sandy Beach
Eyes: Sugarpill Goldiluxe, Red & Green -Bh Cosmetics Day & Night palette, with Nyx Slide on Pencil in Green Papaya as a base for the green shadow. Matte white highlight from same palette.
Lips: Maybelline Coral Crush (later I ended up adding Nyx Eros to the outer corners.)
Christmas Day OOTD: I wanted to show off this cute dress from www.showponyfashion.com, we had lunch outside so when I stood up I kept doing the Marilyn :P

Christmas Nails
This is my second time playing around with gradient or ombre nails using a sponge, & since I had gotten O.P.I Goldeneye the week before I pictured it with a sparkly red on my nails!

 So festive!!

So how are y'all bringing in the new year? Party hard, quiet night in?? & How will you be doing your makeup?? I have sort of an idea for tonight!! & we are going to a bar/restaurant on the water that is having a band playing so it should be good!

See you in 2013!!
