How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

 Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

 JooMoo is a "Revolutionary new skincare company" that is targeted for young teenagers (ages 14-24) with skin problems, namely acne, oily-ness & allergies, which was created after trying to create a solution after developing a skin allergy that seemed untreatable. They wanted to develop an effective natural face wash & discovered that the skin needs to be cleaned & restored back to it's natural environment in order to prevent & cure most skin diseases. JooMoo was launched in June 2012 in the UK.

 
The Product
Packaging: This is in a nice squeeze-y tube that makes it easy to control how much product you need. The design on the packaging itself is colourful & creative & appealing to teenagers. It claims on the front: 100% Truly Natural. Prevent spotty, sore & inflamed skin. And Exclusively for young, sensitive skin.
Product: A foaming gel that would require oil-flow in the skin as it feels like it helps take away some of the oily-ness to balance the skin. It smells strongly of cinnamon as it has a lot of cinnamon-related properties in the ingredients. It is a nice, refreshing smell that lingers on the skin afterwards, and you can even smell it through the bottle!
Ingredients:  The main ingredients are Aqua, Saccharum Officinarum (unrefined sugar) Extract, Sea Salt (good for reducing oil-flow) Honey (anti-inflammation properties), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange- Vit. C that is good for pigmentation )..... and at the end are a few different ones involving cinnamomum (cinnamon, hence the fragrance). It also has one with Cassia which is a Chinese cinnamon that is known to help flush out redness by creating a false heat. As this is all natural with no preservatives you can expect it to slightly change colour which is normal. However it does have a best before date on it but it should be fine to use after.

 My Thoughts
 I have to agree with the philosophy of JooMoo that skincare products need to restore the natural environment of the skin in order to cure the problems . My skin still gets the occasional pimple
& I have a bit of redness so I thought this product would be good for me, however as I have no oil-flow it made my skin feel tight & extremely dry, so I couldn't use it over a long enough period to test it out properly. However I will pass it on to someone that I think it would benefit. I have found this review here with different opinions & more information if you wish to check it out (N/A)

Sorry for all the words but thanks for reading if you did. I cannot recommend this product based on my experiences with having dry skin but if you are interested please read the other review I posted above to see if it would suit you.

Sorry this is a bit late, as everyone is already out of the Christmas mode as it comes to NYE! I didn't want to leave it any later, so this will be my last post for 2012. Can't believe the year is coming to an end, it went by so quickly, feels like just yesterday I was getting ready for last NYE. So yeah, here is my Christmas Eve & Day Makeup. Christmas Eve I had been wearing very similar makeup all day for work, so I just touched up my foundation with a bit of Garnier BB Cream, added more blush & fixed the eyes.   I like how warm toned this picture turned out.  Quick Product Breakdown~ Cheeks: MAC Pink Swoon Eyes: BH Cosmetics Day & Night: Gold [inner lid], bronze [lid], shimmery taupe [crease] Lips: MAC Myth with a coral ligloss over the top [hadn't re-touched it for a few hours so it's worn off a fair bit]   My OOTN, this sequined top is by Ally fashion & is actually sheer so I wore a bandeau bra underneath. I felt it was nice & Christmassy :) I

Stila After Glow Lip Colours | Review & Swatches

This post is as I promised in my Stila Haul Post   I wanted to do the review before I go away especially as they are limited edition & I have no idea how long they will be around for! The Stila After Glow Lip Colours are not really lipsticks, not really lip stains but like a jumbo lip pencil with a balmy, lipstick-type texture. Something that makes them different to other lip products are that they glow in UV light, which is what suckered me into them in the first place. Although I don't go clubbing as often as I used to, this would make for a nice surprise once the UV lights go on! I was going to have to wait to take a pic under black light but then I remembered that I had a UV light that was in an "invisible pen set" many years ago so I could test it out sooner rather than later.  Packaging: Black chubby stick-like wind-able pencils, with writing on tube corresponding to the colour of the lipstick that also glows. Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Moisturizer

Do you ever find you have never heard of a certain product or brand before and then as soon as you buy it, it pops up everywhere? This is what happened after I bought the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Moisturizer, after finding reviews on Makeup Ally of their different moisturizers I chose one that seemed to be suitable for me.  This is the perfect daily moisturizer & I would think it would be just as beneficial for combination or dehydrated skin, as it applies like a very light lotion but still feels moisturizing without being greasy. It would be perfect to wear under foundation if you happen to be short on time and cannot wait ~10 minutes for it to sink in so you can do your thing afterwards.  In the ingredients list above you can see Hyaluronic acid is one of the main ingredients. This is actually found just under the epidermis (skin) which nourishes & increases water content to the skin by attracting water. Using this moisturizer would replace what dehydrated skin is lackin
