How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons // Review & Swatches

.If you are into sheer, moisturizing lip colours then Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons are for you. Packaged in a wind-able, chubby stick-like, well, stick, they are perfect to chuck in the bag for reapplication during the day without being a hassle. I apologize in advanced, as I was hesitant to post this as I found out they were limited edition afterwards but I still wanted to post my review & swatches.

Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons is a set of 3 glossy crayons, similar to Revlon's Lip Butters but in their Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains type packaging. There is a nice range of colours in this pack, Macaron which is a darker fuchsia pink, Cupcake which is a light baby pink & Sundae, a brown-y nude colour. Depending on how much you apply you can get a subtle or a pigmented colour, while still being sheer. Although it is not long wearing it is quick & easy to apply another layer on the go.
Packaging: Wind-able lip crayon where the packaging colour matches the lip colour making it easy to find which one you are after. I can see the plastic lid cracking after a while which means it will easily fall off in your bag, potentially ruining the tip. (think Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils, damn you!). The name of the colour is easily visible on the side.
Texture: Feels kind of slippery to apply, but if you have cracked lips it will still show through, so apply lip balm & blot beforehand! It does feel moisturizing on the lips, though.
Longevity: Lasts for about 1-2 hours, but if eating or drinking I find it comes off faster, however it does leave a bit of a stain behind.
Smell: Vanilla scent that only lingers for a little bit, almost as good enough to eat as the names!
Cost/ Where to buy: As mentioned they are limited edition so I feel guilty in posting this, although I thought I had seen them around for ages! So if you may happen to come across across these, they were $14.95 and available at anywhere that stocks FOA, so Priceline, Big W, Target, K-mart.

I would recommend these lip crayons for a sheer lip colour if you don't mind reapplying on the go, although the Revlon Just Bitten Balm stains, which are very similar last longer, although a set of 3 of these are cheaper than one balm stain which retails for $17.95 in Australia.
