How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Imagen
Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

My actual V-day Makeup //Day To Night

I know it's almost been 2 weeks but as long as it's still February, right? (I always seem to be late, lol!) But I still wanted to share my day-to-night makeup that I wore on Valentines day/ night.... because I can! Not that I need one day out of the whole year as an excuse to wear pink ;) ~Day As you can see I kept everything in the colour family, starting with my eyes using mainly Inglot, my cheeks & my lips, but I didn't want an actual pink lipstick, this is more on the purple side which matches half of my eyelid! Stila In The Light // Review & Swatches

Imagen
Why hello darlings <3 As mentioned in my haul post here , I received the Stila In The Light palette as a giveaway prize winner, woo! This is a gorgeous palette with pretty wearable neutral colours, hope this review is helpful! A quote on the inside of the lid instead of a mirror.  Packaging This palette is in a light but sturdy cardboard packaging with a magnetic lid. There is no mirror which is a bummer as I am quite used to using the one on whatever palette I am using at the time, but it is not a deal breaker. On the back of the palette has the names of the colours, which is a little bit annoying to turn the palette over to see what you are using until you get used to the names. It also comes with a full sized smudge stick that has it's own little compartment under the shadows with a pull out ribbon. Eyeshadows Colours : A range of neutrals reminiscent to those in the Urban Decay Naked palettes, there are 4 matte and 6 shimmery shades and are good for day time natural makeup l

2x FOTD: Neutral Eyes, Pink Lips

Hey sexy ladies <3 This is another double post this time featuring neutral eyes & pink lips... both the same concept but very different looks. I will always love this combo! There are so many types of pink lipsticks not to have fun trying them out ;) ~Look 1 This day I wanted to define my eyes keeping it fairly natural, and I wanted to try out my Vau Beauty lashes out. And I was in the mood for some bright pink lips so Viva Glam Nicki was the go! Natural Lighting ~Products~ Face: Nars Laguna, Mac Lightscapade. I can't remember what I wore on my cheeks sorry :( But it is probably Bourjois Blush #16 because it is so light & glowy. Eyes: Stila 'Kitten',UD Naked1 'Naked','Buck', 'Gunmetal', 'Creep'. Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner. Lips: Nyx 'Dolly Pink' lipliner, MAC 'Viva Glam Nicki' I started out with Kitten on the lid and blended Buck into the crease, using Naked to soften it. I've been waiting a while to receive all my packages that I ordered around the same time so I could put them into a collective haul-style post this time. I've been using some of the products in my FOTD's so I'm happy I can finally show you properly, now! Cherry Culture Nyx Eye Shadow Base in White, Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp Nyx Black Label Lipstick in Nude La Splash Glitter Splash (names below) Cherryculture.com has regular specials & I'm pretty sure I got these Nyx products between 15-25% off when they are a good price anyway. The glitters were $5.99 each, and they have the biggest range! I can definitely recommend these glitters, and I've used them in a couple of looks and you can see how glitter can also be wearable but then also dramatic (obviously!! It's all up to you how it turns out ;)). I found this website has extremely quick shipping as I ordered these not long before beauty joint but I got them 2 weeks before!  Giveaway Prize  Techn

Pink Flamingo Makeup Look or Valentines if you wish ;)

Hi lovers! Y'all know what today is, the (dreaded to some) Valentines day!! (at least it is where I am ;)) In case you haven't noticed I've been trying to name my more "exciting" makeup looks.... even if they do come out tacky-sounding! When I did this last week it wasn't meant to be for anything special but as I was writing this post I thought.... well what better time to post it! I was planning to do a verrry similar look for v-day anyway (I have a day and night version planned :P) This was playing around with my La Splash Glitter (Haul post coming up, hopefully when I receive my next beauty order! Hurry up yo!!) & my Inglot eyeshadows again, finding out that I can make pretty combos using a brighter lid colour & browns throughout the crease. These glitters can be used sort of in daytime looks, depending on what you call daytime (can be a bit more dramatic for me :P) and adding just a touch makes for a pretty sparkly look :D  ~Products~ Face: The usu

New mascara buys; Which one to try first!

Imagen
Every now & then Woolworths has some of their cosmetics on sale. I've been wanting to try these mascaras for ages now so I thought I may as well pick them up and add them to my backup collection. Keep in mind this was a couple of weeks ago so they wont be on special still, but keep a look out for next time. When I was on my "spending ban" I was going to buy Falsies flared but I put it back right before checkout because I felt guilty and I didn't want to cave that easily. Maybelline One By One, Maybelline The Falsies Flared I need your help in telling me which one I should use first?? As I use my mascara waay after the recommended expiration (btw I haven't had any bad things happen, yet!) it takes me forever to open a new one, as I already have 2 main ones on the go .... I am leaning towards One by One as I haven't had a defining mascara in a while..... hmmm let me know in the comments, please! But pleaase don't tell me you hate them, because I don'

On Fiyah! Lava Dust Makeup Look

I've been trying to use my Inglot eyeshadows a bit more lately and wanted to do something sunrise-ish and then I remembered I had a glitter that would go perfectly with this look! As you can see with my eyes open it's not very noticeable and then bam! I kept the rest of the face & lips quite light toned although I think it would look nicer with a coloured lip. ~Products~ Face: Rimmel Wake Me Up, Garnier BB Cream Revlon Hushed Blush in 'A Floral Affair' Nars Laguna, Mac Lightscapade Eyes: Mac Painterly Paintpot Inglot 'P 407' , 'DS 495',' AMC 60', 'P 393', Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, La Splash glitter 'Lava Dust'. 2x FOTD's: Bare lower lashline, Cat-Eyes.

Hey lovely ladies <3 Ahh I have so many FOTD's to catch up on, it feels like I haven't posted a proper one in forever! So I will try to post them all close-ish together. I have been doing similar looks lately with bronzed & highlighted skin and "clean" eyes and I've started taking my pictures in different lighting as well. These 2 FOTD's have nothing on the lower lash line which I've been doing a bit more as it makes my eyes look more feline, awake & refreshed. (so I think, anyway!)
