How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

 Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me? I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips. 1. Line just outside of your natural lip line with a lip liner that is close to your natural colour if you prefer a fuller lip. Tip: If you're going for a nude lip, use a colour slightly darker than your lipstick. 2. Apply your lipstick of choice. It doesn't matter if you don't cover up the liner completely as we'll be going over that again. Make sure to really press your lips together to work the lipstick in. Tip: Use a lip brush with the first coat which helps the lipstic

New Years Shoes; Which ones to wear?

So for New Years I'm going to a dress up party. My costume is all sorted but I will need to get changed to go out to the pub afterwards. I present y'all with 2 shoes to pick for me :) haha & the pros and cons :P Plz ignore my feet & shoes ha I took these straight after a stinkin hot day at work so ignore them but dont ignore the shoes!
 Glittery Gold Peep Toe Pumps
-Pros: Comfortable on the soles of my feet
-Totes appropriate for new years!
-So damn pretty haha

Cons: Glitter will fall off! Do not want. (I have been spraying with hair spray however-  & I'm thinkin that its working.)
-Kinda uncomfortable around the heel where it rubs on my feet- may need bandaids
-toes will hurt after a while


Black Suede Wedges with Ankle Strap (its ok that the sides pop out)
-Pros: Wedges are super comfy to wear all night without hurting your feet.
-I love these ones too! ha
-Easier to walk in without worrying about tripping

Cons: Ankle strap may get annoying (they are on super tight here anyways)
-Feels like I'm rolling as I'm walking in them
-Don't want to ruin the suede!

Anyways you don't need to go by the pros/ cons just the look of them if you like, I am already wearing the wedges with my costume anyway so maybe I could bring the other ones into just in case?

Sorry this is a bit late, as everyone is already out of the Christmas mode as it comes to NYE! I didn't want to leave it any later, so this will be my last post for 2012. Can't believe the year is coming to an end, it went by so quickly, feels like just yesterday I was getting ready for last NYE. So yeah, here is my Christmas Eve & Day Makeup. Christmas Eve I had been wearing very similar makeup all day for work, so I just touched up my foundation with a bit of Garnier BB Cream, added more blush & fixed the eyes.   I like how warm toned this picture turned out.  Quick Product Breakdown~ Cheeks: MAC Pink Swoon Eyes: BH Cosmetics Day & Night: Gold [inner lid], bronze [lid], shimmery taupe [crease] Lips: MAC Myth with a coral ligloss over the top [hadn't re-touched it for a few hours so it's worn off a fair bit]   My OOTN, this sequined top is by Ally fashion & is actually sheer so I wore a bandeau bra underneath. I felt it was nice & Christmassy :) I

Stila After Glow Lip Colours | Review & Swatches

This post is as I promised in my Stila Haul Post   I wanted to do the review before I go away especially as they are limited edition & I have no idea how long they will be around for! The Stila After Glow Lip Colours are not really lipsticks, not really lip stains but like a jumbo lip pencil with a balmy, lipstick-type texture. Something that makes them different to other lip products are that they glow in UV light, which is what suckered me into them in the first place. Although I don't go clubbing as often as I used to, this would make for a nice surprise once the UV lights go on! I was going to have to wait to take a pic under black light but then I remembered that I had a UV light that was in an "invisible pen set" many years ago so I could test it out sooner rather than later.  Packaging: Black chubby stick-like wind-able pencils, with writing on tube corresponding to the colour of the lipstick that also glows. Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Moisturizer

Do you ever find you have never heard of a certain product or brand before and then as soon as you buy it, it pops up everywhere? This is what happened after I bought the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Moisturizer, after finding reviews on Makeup Ally of their different moisturizers I chose one that seemed to be suitable for me.  This is the perfect daily moisturizer & I would think it would be just as beneficial for combination or dehydrated skin, as it applies like a very light lotion but still feels moisturizing without being greasy. It would be perfect to wear under foundation if you happen to be short on time and cannot wait ~10 minutes for it to sink in so you can do your thing afterwards.  In the ingredients list above you can see Hyaluronic acid is one of the main ingredients. This is actually found just under the epidermis (skin) which nourishes & increases water content to the skin by attracting water. Using this moisturizer would replace what dehydrated skin is lackin
